The Chose Yourself Guide to Wealth

by James Altucher

In the past year I have become a huge Althucher fan and this is another great book from the author. This follows on from on of my favourite books Chose Yourself, where he talks about how he turned his life around.  This is a book about how you can make money in today’s world.  The reason why I love this book is because it isn’t the same old bull shit methodology that a lot of business coaches try and sell you. This is a man who has made money, lost it and made it again.  He walks the walk in what he says. He is a thought leader and his very own ideas lab.

If you want to stop following the path of all the other people who tell you that if you follow their system you will make millions and listen to the ideas of some one who walks his own path then you should buy this book.  Click on the image to make the purchase.

The Code of the Extraordinary Mind

by Vishen Lakhiani

This is one of the most powerful books I have read (or in my case listened to, as I love an audio book). Vishen Lakhiani is the founder of Mind Valley which is an online university and therefore he has a passion for human development and has amassed a ton of knowledge about how we grow, change and create the best version of ourselves.  This book creates endless lightbulb moments, will give you new ideas about how you can develop yourself and your life and it will expand your mind on how to get the best from those around you.

On top of the book, this purchase will give you access to a incredible library of videos that support each chapter.  I could rave on about this book, I am so excited for you to read it.  I can not recommend it enough. YOU HAVE TO BUY IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!! Click on the image to make the purchase.

Choose Yourself

Be Happy, Make Millions, Live the Dream

by James Altucher

This book wasn’t on my radar, I had never heard of the author, I just came across it and now I am in love with it.  James Altucher is a hedge fund manager, entrepreneur, TV presenter, author. What I love about the book is that the author has walked the walk, made millions, lost millions, changed careers and basically built a life where he is doing what he whats to do.  He chose himself. As a result of that and because James comes across as very self effacing it is not an in your face personal development book but a gentle reminder that we all have some thing special inside of us and that we have a choice to be what we want. I love the daily routine he goes through to make himself better and I have adopted some of these myself but I also love that he admits his love of taking a nap. I am so glad I made this purchase and will definitely take this book in again.  A must buy. Click the image to make the purchase and add it to your book shelf.

Lean In

Women, Work, and the Will to Lead

by Sheryl Sandberg

Sheryl Sandberg, as the COO of Facebook, is regarded as one of the most powerful women in the world. I have been reluctant to read this book and a bit snob about it for some reason, maybe because she is not and has never been a struggling entrepreneur. Not that she has not worked hard but because she has a job, I pushed this aside. But I now call myself out for waiting so long. This is without doubt one of the best books I have ever read. She puts, so eloquently, what I get so frustrated about and end up just ranting about in terms of women. She talks with passion, experience and knowledge about how women are treated in the work place, but also how women can hold themselves back. This book is powerful and insightful and will make you think. It is a book that all women and men should read and it also a book that all parents should give to their sons and daughters. I can recommend this book highly enough, I regret waiting so long to read it but am happy that I but my stupid beliefs aside and finally added it to my reading list.  If you would like to purchase click on the image.

Year of Yes

by Shonda Rhimes

Shonda Rhimes is an incredibly successful and powerful Hollywood producer. She is responsible for the creation of shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder.  She also has a reputation for taking no BS from any diva director or actor. However, on the flip side she was a self confessed introvert. She turned down invitation after invitation. Until one day her sister commented that she never said yes to anything. This sparked a light and started off a year where Shonda just never said no. Anything that would strike her with panic she said to, parties, speaking engagements, TV interviews. In this book Shonda documents this year and the profound affect that it had on her.  This is a must read for anyone who is looking to change their life but are hiding behind a wall of excuses. E-Squared: Nine Do It Yourself Energy Experiments That Prove Your Thoughts Create Your Reality

by Pam Grout

This is a fantastic book. Pam gives you a series of nine experiments, which shows you the power of the mind and the law of attraction. I am recommending this book from personal experience of trying the experiments. The first experiment is to simply ask for a gift. Some thing totally unexpected, so I did this and then very next day some one rang me out of the blue and invited me to an event.  Pam goes into each experiment with an introduction chapter so you understand what, why how and what if.

If you are struggling to move forward with your life and to make the big decisions. If you are being held back by your limiting beliefs then this book will help. It is a great one, also, to buy for the kids to help them to understand how much power the mind has.  So I would definitely add this one to your book shelf.  Click on the image to make the purpose.

The Life Changing Magic of Tidying

by Marie Kondo

Marie Kondo is every where right now and my iphone has more pictures of knicker drawers than you could care to think about. My journey to this book was a weird one. A friend of mine told me how she had brought this book in a card shop and it had had such a profound impact that she wasn’t embarrassed to say that it had changed her life. Over a matter of months the KonMarie method, as it is called, was every where and friends are sharing their knicker drawer images all over the place, as am I. This book doesn’t just cover the practicalities of tidying but it also covers the emotional element to why we hold onto things even if we don’t like them or will never use them again. Unless you are an obsessive minimalist this book will make a difference. Click on the link to add to your book shelf.

E Myth Revisited

by Michael E Gerber

This is a fantastic book if you are small business struggling to keep the lights or it is a cautionary tale if you planning on starting a business. Written around as story of a business owner who started their business out of passion but ended up loathing it’s existence. Instead of focussing on the heart of the business and why it was opened in the first place, they have allowed themselves to be dragged into all the other tasks of running a business instead of outsourcing those tasks to experts. The book is written to show the impact of trying to save money by doing it yourself attitude that a lot of small business owners have. This is one book that any business owner should read and keep on their book shelf. Click on the image to add this to your business book library.

How to be selfish (and other uncomfortable advice)

by Olga Levancuka

This caused a lot of controversy when it was first published. “What women need to be selfish?” I actually love the message in the book. I think way too many women flit around trying to be everything to every one else and not fulfilling their own purpose. I used to work with a women, who would unselfishly lay out her husband’s clothes for him daily, including his under pants (how a man can’t get his own underwear out of a drawer is beyond me). After many years of this unselfish act all she did was moan about how he took her for granted. This books talks about the importance of investing in yourself. By putting yourself first, you have the strength and self esteem to be kind to others in the right way. This is the Kindle version of the book as the paper back is quite expensive but I beg you, be selfish, the kids can go one day with out sweets, make and investment in yourself and buy this book. Radical Honesty

by Brad Planton

This is not a book for the feint hearted. But if you finally realise that you want to make changes in your life then this book will help. Brad Blanton really walks the walks and does not take any prisoners. The book deals, in a brutally honesty way, with the damage you can do to your life if you are not honest with yourself and with others. It is forthright and honest, but what makes it so good is how to the point it is. There is no messing around. Some times we all need to be told that yes your bum does look big in this dress but we then learn to have the self esteem not to care. Most importantly we have to learn to be honest with ourselves. We have learn to be truthful about what we want with our lives and moving on from things that do not have valuable.  Click on the image to buy the book  now.

Become a Key Person of Influence

by Daniel Priestly

I strongly recommend that your read this book. I am a little biased but it is as a result of the Key Person of Influence programne that High Heelers came about. It started with a women sitting next to me at an event talking about the book, saying how much it changed her business, I read the book, in a weekend, and a few months later signed on for the course. It is to read and understand that my 12 year old niece is reading it. The main thing it will do is inspire.  This is a must read book, click on the picture to purchase today.

by Gary Vaynerchuk

Gary Vaynerchuk is a new world business genius. I have known of Gary for some time now but only recently have started to read his books and I have to say I am turning into a fan. He understood the importance and how huge social media would be the fist time he set eyes on it and he has certainly gone on to prove his point. This book is his latest and gives you examples and case studies of how to do business in a Twitter, mobile, app led age and why it works. What is clear through any book you read of Gary’s is his passion for his subject. If you want to learn from the master and from some one who talks the talks and walks the walk then this is a perfect book to start with. Click on the picture to buy now.
